Stories of the world: Beginning

There is so much going on in the world. So many stories- old and new. Stories that teach you about life, stories that heal you, stories that make you think, that take you back in time, stories that inspire you, that make you look at reality without pre-conceived notions, stories that don't have definite endings, stories of people, of lives, of trees, stories of the world, heard and unheard, told and untold.

If they weren't written down or shared by these historic story-tellers that our people were who we found in our mothers, our fathers, our grandparents, our teachers, maybe we couldn't have seen or read so many of them leading to us losing out on so many of these tales that have marked themselves in the cultural landscape created by our people.

Language and writing and recording is so important for all of us, for our world. Be it the stories of how people think the world came into being, or be it a simple story of how a crow and a jackal bonded over a piece of food, all these stories came out of minds; minds of many. They taught us, made us feel good, added colours and lessons of possibilities to our imagination. All these stories in their mere existence are resonant of the beauty of the special lands that they came from and through all the languages that they were written in reached out to so many people across the world.

I feel so grateful I understand so many of these languages and so many attached stories filled with the essence of the beauty of those languages, of the people who wrote them and all those things that inspired the conception of these stories. I can't wait to learn more and more of the words in the world that make up these stories. I am eager to read so many more of these stories, to get a window of admiration filled look into all those minds and thoughts who left behind their traces through these stories. I hope I can through this, collect these stories, stress on how important it is to learn to listen to these stories and share these stories with others like they were always desitined to be.

  1. This anonymous writer, P.P., is a very fine individual indeed. So much has been sadly lost in the course of history, but new potential knows no bounds and even the heaven and earth have no limits for us! Let's keep reading, listening, consuming and preserving as much as we can and want to!
